Reasonable Accommodations: IndependenceFirst is committed to providing the highest degree of accessibility within its means when conducting agency-sponsored events. Please notify Leah Simmons of your disability-related accommodation requests. We will attempt to honor all requests but cannot assure that request made close to the date requested.

Environmental/Chemical Sensitivities: For the safety and comfort of those with chemical and environmental sensitivities, IndependenceFirst requests that people attending agency-sponsored events please refrain from using any perfumed grooming products such as scented soaps, deodorants, perfumes, colognes and heavily scented fabric softeners. It is also essential that we maintain a smoke-free environment; therefore in addition to not smoking in the building, we ask that you refrain from smoking in paths of travel and doorways.

A series of 10 Life Skills Workshops are offered free of charge to organizations/agencies in our four county service area (Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha and Washington) who serve people with disabilities.

To schedule these workshops for your group or for more information, contact Marian Ecklund at 414-226-8310 TTY by dialing the Wisconsin Relay at 711 or via E-mail: mecklund@independencefirst.org.
