Craft Workshops
A series of 4 Craft Workshops are offered throughout the year at our Milwaukee location, please contact Julia Loritz at 414-291-7520 V/TTY or E-Mail
jloritz@independencefirst.org to register or if you need more information. Workshops will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in room 202. A nominal fee will be charged per project.Schedule of Craft Workshops for 2006
4/04/06 & 4/11/06: Get-To-Know-You Workshop; Create a beaded rainbow and a copper-punch ornament for your yard. Cost: $3.50.
4/25/06 & 5/02/06 & 5/09/06 & 5/16/06: Painted Wooden Welcome Sign Workshop; Create a decoratively painted "Welcome" sign that you can display inside or outside.
Cost: $3.00.
9/12/06 & 9/19/06: Fall Leaves Wreath Workshop; Make a beautiful wreath of grapevine and silk fall foliage.
Cost: $4.00.
10/31/06 & 11/7/06 & 11/14/06: Hand-Stitched Polar Fleece Scarf Workshop; Create a wonderful polar fleece wrap for cold winter days for yourself or a gift.
Cost: $2.50.
Environmental/Chemical Sensitivities
For the safety and comfort of those with chemical and environmental sensitivities, IndependenceFirst request that persons attending agency-sponsored events refrain from using any perfumed grooming products such as scented soaps, deodorants, perfumes, colognes, and heavily scented fabric softeners. We maintain a smoke-free environment; therefore in addition to not smoking in the building, we ask that you refrain from smoking in paths of travel and doorways.
