Disability Mentoring Day

Based on the “Take Your Daughter To Work Day,” the National Disability Mentoring Day is held on the 3rd Wednesday of October each year throughout the USA and is coordinated by IndependenceFirst for the four county area. Middle school, high school and college students are matched with area employers for a career exploration/job shadow day in their career field of interest. In the past, businesses that have participated have been both large and small including Harley-Davidson, the Air Force Refueling Division, The Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Sentry Foods, and many more.
