Employment Counseling

The purpose of IndependenceFirst's Employment Counseling Services is to assist persons with disabilities to meet and maintain their employment-related goals.

Goals

  • To assist persons with disabilities to identify their employment goals.
  • To assist persons with disabilities to identify and problem-solve the obstacles and barriers that may be preventing them from achieving their employment goals.
  • To assist persons with disabilities to identify resources that may help them to meet their employment-related goals.
  • To provide training and education on the rights of persons with disabilities to both jobseekers and employers.

Employment services are consumer directed. Consumers are expected to take an active role in obtaining their employment goal. Cost Fee for service paid by DVR.
