Youth Leadership Program

The Youth Leadership Program invites young people, with any disability, to empower yourselves and others so you can live independently and successfully. The goal of the Youth Leadership Program is for you to enjoy full inclusion in all aspects of your life—your family, your school and your community. We help you work towards independence in living, employment, education, social life, advocacy.

Independent Living Services - Youth Transition Classes

Offered by request in High Schools throughout the 4 county Metro area, the class is intended for high school students with disabilities who are transitioning out of high school. Topics: ABC's of Disability Laws, Who are you? Lesson in Disability Awareness, I Feel Good - Self-Esteem, Speak Out: The Art of Self-Advocacy, Stand Up & Be Heard Assertiveness Training, Yada-yada Communicating with Style, In Your Face: Dealing with Conflict & Anger, Just In Time: Basic Time Management, Charge It! A Lesson in Budgeting, Empty Nest: Time to Move Out!
