We kicked off a year-long series of ADA education and awareness activities leading up to the 25th Anniversary celebration of the signing of the ADA in 2015 with our Accessible Icon Project.

On July 26, 2014, IndependenceFirst used a new Accessible Icon stencil to paint our parking lot spaces to promote a new image for accessibility. (Check out these great photos of the day and the new icon!) The stencil is available for loan to any business interested in re-stripping its own parking lot or accessible spaces (Contact Brian Peters, 414-937-5912 VP/Relay, for more information).

The new Accessible Icon (right) shows
a more active person.
