Senior food distribution

Independence First hosts a monthly Food Distribution for Seniors with Hunger Task Force. This event is for individuals over the age of 60 who meet income requirements. People will enter the Independence First building at 540 S. 1st Street in Milwaukee to sign enrollment forms beginning at 10AM. They will then receive a ticket for food and proceed outside to the drive-through distribution, where they will open their trunks to receive food.

Please note that a valid photo ID is required to receive food distribution.  An enrollment form will need to be filled out for each individual over the age of 60 eligible to receive food. Personal care workers and family members may pick up food on behalf of someone else, but they need to 1) be listed as a proxy on the individual's enrollment form, 2) bring their own valid photo ID, and 3) bring a copy of the individual (s) photo ID for whom they are picking up food.
