This series of wellness group workshops are designed for any individuals who use wheelchairs and who may have difficulties navigating through activities in their daily life. Come talk to others and learn about the possibilities for independence inside and outside of home.

Tuesdays from August 19th - December 2nd from 4:00PM – 7:30PM
This peer to peer group is for all individuals who use a wheelchair regardless of if you have an acquired disability due to an accident, violence or illness, have any type paralysis or functional limitation, or were born with a developmental disability. This support group is peer led by individuals who have lived experience navigating through life’s challenges and aim to help others.
Reasonable Accommodations Independence First is committed to providing the highest degree of accessibility when offering agency-sponsored events. We will do our best to honor accommodation requests made after this timeframe.
Environmental Chemical Sensitivities
For the safety and comfort of those with chemical and environmental sensitivities, Independence First requests that when attending agency-sponsored events, please refrain from using any perfumed products such as scented soaps, deodorants, perfumes, colognes and heavily scented fabric softeners. To maintain a smoke-free environment, please also refrain from smoking in paths of travel and doorways.
