Details:Join Independence First and the Waukesha Public Library for an inspiring afternoon with Deaf children's author Christopher Rawlings, author of Captain Finn. Christopher will read from his book, share his journey to becoming a published Deaf author, and answer questions from attendees in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
The program will also feature Leah Simmons, Independence First's Regional Deaf Advocacy Services Coordinator, who will introduce the services provided by Independent Living Centers and discuss resources available to Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals and families. Children, families, educators, and community members of all ages are encouraged to attend this free event.
