Join Independence First for “Probate Is Bad for You,” a workshop for the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing communities featuring guest speaker Matthew Kaplan, Attorney. This workshop will help participants better understand the probate process, why it can be time-consuming and expensive, and why planning ahead may be important for you and your family.
The workshop will address questions including:
- What is probate, and why is it so bad?
- Why does probate take so long?
- Why is probate so expensive?
- My parents didn’t go through probate. Why should I worry about it?
