Details:Spinal Cord Injury Support Group
Independence First’s Spinal Cord Injury Support Group is a weekly, peer-based group for individuals who have experienced a spinal cord injury, as well as their family members and friends. The group provides a supportive and welcoming space to connect with others who understand the challenges and changes that can come with spinal cord injury.
Participants will have opportunities to share personal experiences, engage in group discussions, and learn practical strategies related to healing and recovery. Topics may include accessing community resources, housing, transportation and driving options, employment, independent living, and coping techniques for trauma and stress.
The group is facilitated with an emphasis on mutual support, empowerment, and community connection. Attendance is available both in person at Independence First and virtually via Zoom.
To participate, individuals may attend in person or request the Zoom link by contacting Mike Wolfe by phone, text, or email. Only a phone number or email address is required to attend.
To RSVP or to request accommodations, contact Mike Wolfe. Call 414-226-8361 (V/Relay) or email: mwolfe@independencefirst.org
