Details:Women's Financial Workshop
Independence First, in partnership with Summit Credit Union, is offering a one-day Women’s Financial Education Series designed to build financial knowledge, confidence, and economic wellbeing for women and girls. This interactive workshop will provide practical information and tools to help participants better understand money management, financial institutions, budgeting strategies, credit building, and ways to protect themselves from fraud.
Topics covered include exploring personal money beliefs and financial goals, understanding bank accounts and comparing financial products, creating and maintaining a budget, and learning the basics of credit reports and credit repair. Participants who attend will also have the opportunity to earn $50 toward a Summit Credit Union savings account.
