Milwaukee County’s “Future State Project” is moving forward. Sharing your thoughts now can have an impact

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County is undertaking a major initiative called the Future State Project, a comprehensive effort to review how County services work and how they should change to better meet community needs in the years ahead. The goal is to learn what is working well, what is not working, and how services can better support residents in the future.

This project is important because County services affect many parts of daily life, including transportation, health programs, housing support, employment services, and community programs. Feedback from residents will help guide future decisions about how these services are designed and delivered.

Why This Matters for People with Disabilities

Many people with disabilities rely on County services to live independently and stay connected to their communities. Changes made through the Future State Project could affect how easy it is to access programs, how services are delivered, and how resources are prioritized.

That is why it is important for people with disabilities, family members, caregivers, and service providers to share their experiences and ideas. Your feedback can help make services more accessible, more equitable, and more responsive to community needs.
