Details:Becoming a primary caregiver can bring unexpected challenges, changes, and questions. This monthly peer support group offers a welcoming space for caregivers—including parents, family members, and chosen caregivers—to connect, share experiences, and support one another.
Each session features a rotating topic focused on navigating life changes related to disability, chronic illness, progressive diagnoses, and aging. Participants are encouraged to engage in open conversation, learn from others, and build a sense of community with people who understand the caregiving journey.
The group meets on the third Monday of each month from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Independence First, 540 S 1st St, Milwaukee. Space is limited, and advance RSVP is required. Notify Erin Kamin at (414) 865-1925 or ekamin@independencefirst.org
