Women's art group continues to learn and create together --RSS Feed

IndependenceFirst has collaborated with Donna Lexa Art Center this summer to offer a Women’s Art Peer Support Group for women with disabilities. Our topic for our first meeting in May was communication. At our second session in June, we discussed how positivity directly influences productiveness and better self-confidence. The art directive for the positivity topic was creating positivity talismans. Each group member identified an object that spoke “positivity” to them and then they got to create their talisman using anything in the art studio.
